Welcome to the summer edition of our newsletter.  Thank you to those who have taken part in our summer events so far, as well as to those who have generously donated.  We have one last outdoor pursuit with the Henley 10km Thames Path Challenge in September.  It’s a great day out of the city with beautiful scenery and we would love to see as many of you there as possible.

All funds go towards widening our impact in South Africa.  We are proud to have extended our partnership to Durban and Coastal Mental Health and have started our 12 month programme with them to drive person centred practice within the services they provide to people with intellectual disability and mental illness.

Meanwhile in Pietermaritzburg, the PMB Mental Health Society have been busy implementing the programme we funded to provide people with experiences they wouldn’t ordinarily have access to, living in an institutional setting.

We are working with the South African Federation for Mental Health to share best practice and look forward to welcoming their Director, Bharti Patel, to the UK later in the year.

We hope you enjoy this issue!  Thank you for your on-going interest and support.
