As the nights draw in and thoughts turn to the end of year festivities, Climb Any Mountain has been busy planning its annual Christmas Gift Party.
This event is a celebration of the year and we would love for you to join us – to enjoy a lively evening at the start of the Christmas season whilst making a difference to the lives of hundreds of people in South Africa who don’t enjoy the everyday freedoms we take for granted.
This year’s event takes place on Wednesday 29 November 2017 at Vanilla London – a lovely venue in central London and the perfect setting for the evening’s activities.
Tickets cost £25.00 and include a free drink on arrival, canapes and live entertainment, including DJ Halogenix. In addition you’ll get a free raffle ticket with a chance to win some incredible prizes.
When you click to buy your ticket, you’ll also have the option to add one or more gifts to your basket. These gifts are for people at the Pietermaritzburg Mental Health Society with intellectual disability and mental illness who live in an institutional setting. Our aim is to create experiences that are exciting and give people something different to talk about and new skills to master. Our list was co-created with the people supported in Pietermaritzburg. Many gifts are back by popular demand from last Christmas, but some are brand new. Be generous and have fun Christmas shopping!
With thanks.

Special experiences for you to gift
Swimming Lessons throughout the summer months with a professional swimming coach, are just one of the special gift experiences available for you to donate this Christmas. The ‘Gift an experience’ helps us to give those we support in South Africa the chance to do something they ordinarily wouldn’t have the opportunity to do. By purchasing a gift experience (or even a few), you will be making a huge and lasting impact that goes way beyond Christmas.
100 special gifts received in 2016
Working with our partners in South Africa and thanks to your generosity, we were able to provide 100 gift experiences to the residents of the Pietermaritzburg Mental Health Society in 2016.
These activities included going to the mall for coffee with friends, trips to the movies, going to watch live football and rugby matches, learning to read and write and taking part in craft lessons – to name a few! For many of us, these may seem to be ordinary everyday activities but for most people with intellectual disability or mental illness living in an institution these simple life choices are just not available.
2016 Christmas gift party success
In 2016, our Annual Christmas Gift Party took place on 1 December at Belair House. Over 80 people joined us on the night. As a result of your support we were able to provide 100 gift experiences to
