To create long term partnerships with service providers and leverage global best practice so that individuals with learning disability and mental illness in South Africa have the opportunity to live abundant, fulfilling, inspiring and independent lives in creative and safe spaces.
Our purpose
Climb Any Mountain is an organisation established specifically to provide support and empowerment to those in need, by reason of learning disability and mental illness in South Africa.
All people with a learning disability and mental illness in South Africa will be eligible for help from Climb Any Mountain. We will also lobby Government for changes in policy and funding provisions from the State.
Our core principles
People with intellectual disability and mental illness across South Africa have a voice in the decisions which are made about their living situations and their lives, regardless of creed, colour or class.
Local organisations are key to the realisation of our vision. We work with local service providers, aligned with our vision of fostering independence and empowerment and that meet minimum criteria in terms of capability.
Climb Any Mountain is committed to offering services that are created by the customer, where personal choice and individual development are key, and the residential homes are physically located within a community setting so access to society and community services as well as employment opportunities or work experience are easily available.
People with limited financial means are not excluded from the opportunity to benefit from the housing and other services provided.
