Over the past 30 years or so, the UK has significantly improved the standard of care for people with learning disability by moving away from large institutions to smaller person-centred community-based services. These services have enabled residents to live more independently and to make significant improvements in their physical and psychological health.
At Climb Any Mountain, we are driven by our passionate belief that people with an intellectual disability and mental illness should have equal rights and opportunities in society.
We are proud of the ground we’ve taken in transforming the services available for people with intellectual disability and mental illness within and across South Africa.
We’re now preparing for the second home to open—a 6-bedroom home, this time exclusively for women. Help us furnish this house to make it a home. 100% of donations go directly towards purchasing the items listed.
